This would NEVER happen at home!!
but it was no big deal because I read my emails on my phone and then checked out facebook on my phone and posted some birthday wishes and other things. Chips and Salsa came and the waitress took my drink order (it was Mug-o-Rita night, so I thought I should participate~~ (mug o ritas are 1.99!!) I told her that I needed to have my drink billed separate from my food since I was eating on the school's money. It took a while to get my order in, but I was busy on my phone, as I said. The manager brought me free queso dip because she said it took so long to get my order in. I ate almost all the chips and salsa, and just a bit of the queso dip. My drink came after a bit, and they were out of mugs, so it came in the giant margarita glass! It was taking a while to then get the food, but I am used to that, most times our service is not all that great around home. Plus, it seems like I am hexed to get slow service when I travel too. I didn't think much of it, but perhaps since I was alone they noticed more that I wasn't getting my food. If I had been conversing with someone, it probably wouldn't have been so obvious! So, the manager comes with an envelope for a free entree next time I visit, and a coupon for a free dessert as well. Wow, I NEVER get that kind of service. I give them thumbs up as to making the customer feel like they want you to come back! By the time my food came, I wasn't all that hungry, but had ordered the navajo taco, so I ate around the edge some. I asked if I could get a diet pepsi to go (to bring back with me) and next thing I know, my whole meal was also free! Can you even believe that? I was truly surprised and amazed, and I am going to let the manager know I truly appreciate how I was treated! It was so nice of them! I did have to pay for my mug-o-rita (2.00) but the school got off scott free! Wowza~ !!
I then took a little bit longer path back to the motel and am settled in watching "The Biggest Loser" finale. I am glad to say that the "red lady" will not be winning the 100,000 dollars. She really just annoys me. I haven't decided who I am hoping to win the big prize...guess I don't have a "fav".I have some work I need to address this evening too. I plan on getting up early to work out and/or walk.
Tomorrow I have a training which I know will be good, and I will learn a lot...then the long drive home!

Sammy Sighs...
I have been having fun going on walks because Dad has been going with us, and he walks me on my own leash, and Mom walks Silly Sissy. I am so glad because Silly Sissy is so annoying to walk with. I walk so nicely right along the path and look so proud. She still jumps around like a jitterbug because she is so happy. And, she looks stupid because she has to wear a dress ... when she doesn't she chews her hair out on her side and looks dumb with a bald spot. Mom said it's because she has anxiety when we are home alone during work days. Silly Sissy should be like me and go hide in the closet all day. That is much better then chewing out your own hair...duh!
We had Brooklyn here for three weeks, and we had a lot of fun going to the dog park and other fun things. Here are a couple pictures from the dog park. You can see our new friend, Lucy (a great Dane!) I miss him and look for him in his room still.

You can see more pictures in the online album.
Good news, I get a new cousin doggie soon...I can't wait! The bad thing is it's another silly girl, but that's ok, because that makes me the man of the family, right? I hope we meet and become really good friends. I'll probably have to teach the new puppy all kinds of things. Mom is trying to help think of a good name for the little dog, but Aunt Jo doesn't like any of her suggestions! Mom wants it to be a "S" name so the puppy ( a little black lab) will fit in with Sissy, me and Sophie (and our beloved Shelby).
Well, have a dog-gone good day! Take care and I hope to talk to you soon!

Wine, Whine, Wine...
This is a merlot, and I have seen it before, just never purchased...I like the label though...and want to start doing something funky with my wine labels....then I saw this...
I had to get it, no matter what kind of wine it was. I'm sure you all agree that I had to get it....I love, love, love the label...and I especially love the back label...
Is that great or what? It may not be new to you, but I had to share. I opened the second bottle...I liked it...a little dry, but not too bad...but I didn't WHINE a bit.... hee hee.Happy Friday!!

Shoes
I even have a shoe problem with my grandkids. While in North Platte for the dance recital, I purchased these for Mr. Brooklyn: (it was HIS fault, he insisted his shoes hurt and he needed new ones!!)
And these for little Miss Chloe: (she absolutely would need new shoes to go with her new sundress, right??)
Last week, I found these in Kearney. Chloe and I can have a yellow day!
I don't even like yellow that well, but I like these shoes. Hmmm...I do have a problem...

Funky Friday
Did you catch Biggest Loser...what do you think of the final four? Who is your pick to win...your choice? I haven't truly decided who I hope will win yet....I may have to support A
shley since she is the only girl left...but they all have done great, and all are so likeable really. I just hope Red Lady doesn't even win the prize for those who lost at home now. I just really didn't care for her AT ALL! I suppose that was the point? We had SNOW this week. What is up with that? Really!?? Sissy and Sammy were none too happy about that situation!
I am missing my grandkids after my dose of being with them!! Also missing my kids!
We were very proud of our niece, Allison, who has shown more courage and determination than any of us can imagine, as she was presented the Cindy Acree Hope Award during the Colorado Neurological Institute's annual tribute to people who have shown extraordinary courage, strength and hope after facing a neurological condition. The power of prayer should not be ignored! I hope we all learn from her experience to remember to live our lives in a way that we want to be remembered, to love and show our love to those around us, and to praise God.
Have a great weekend!

Words of Wisdom...
I haven't blogged much. My grandson, Brooklyn was here for his break. He goes to year round school, now, so had 3 weeks off. I didn't want to say much because we wanted to surprise Chrissy and Chloe with his visit and attendance at the dance recital on Saturday! They were surprised!!!
We had such a nice visit, and the kids had fun together. I was so pleased to spend time there! It was fun, and great to be together...more on that soon...
I had to share a few words of wisdom from Brooklyn. A few years ago, I would post funny and cute sayings he said...things like "I love you more than my game boy" and other endearing quotes. He is nearly 10 now, so his quotes have changed some, as you can imagine for a nearly 10 year old boy....
"Did you know your large intestine is nearly as long as a school bus?"
"Do you know how long your tongue is?"
"I am going to watch the movie "Old Dogs" with the old dogs...(referring to Grandma and Grandpa)..."
"Adam could just shoot that" (repeated several times about several kinds of game, and other things as well....
"We should just teleport over there!"
and my favorite...
"I just farted on my seat and it's really warm now...really, try it Grandma!"
HMMM...times change!!

Happy Mothers Day to you all...I hope you are all as blessed as I am...my mother is the best! I can't repeat it often enough...I LOVE YOU, MOM!
In addition to being such a lucky daughter, I am filled with love and gratitude for God's gift to me in making me a mom. I have four children, all unique and wonderful. I am so lucky to be a mom...and a grandmother...to the best grandkids ever...

I hope you all have a wonderful day, and can count your blessings too....

Follow up Horrorscope...Oops Horoscope!
Tuesday, May 4, 2010 You may find yourself spending some time today dwelling on some difficulties you've been having with your career lately. You'll probably feel like pursuing your own personal desires right now, but there could be quite a few obligations that will be weighing down on you and occupying most of your time today.
Responsibilities may demand much of your attention and you may not be able to do exactly what you’d like right now. You may be feeling driven and a little impatient. Just try not to be too aggressive if you can help it. Be aware that some people could make life difficult for you if you try to buck the system today.
Wow, I need to be very busy at work again today, right? That part is true, for sure, anyway!! Let me just tell you, I should start the day by apologizing to everyone I met up with yesterday....I felt so GROUCHY yesterday, and frustrated over things that were not going as they should. And, I had a horrific headache!! Still have the headache today, but trying to at least be pleasant...ha! I am excited to say that my job has finally been changed at work to have a description that fits my duties much better, and it comes with a tiny raise. Yay! Not sure when the raise will go into effect, and it isn't much, but I am grateful! I am now a Systems & Data Technician. (SDT!!! Not to be confused with an STD! HA HA) Anyway, have a Great Tuesday!!!
P.S. Take a gander at Julies' post over at Another Chance Ranch today. It is about being a Christian Athiest...and a great, great post!!!

Horoscope for Monday?? Yuk...
Today's (Monday...) horoscope:There will probably be a number of things that others will expect you to deal with today. TODAY? Isn't that every day??? You're likely to be in a highly cooperative mood, COOPERATIVE???? and this should really help you out whatever you find yourself involved in. You'll probably just feel like keeping quiet and focusing on the tasks at hand right now. Do I have to????
Do what’s expected of you today. Geez, already.... Keeping everyone happy is likely to be a high priority for you at this time, and you’ll probably be more willing than usual to do anything you can to help everyone out. ALRIGHT!!!! Can you be more pushy???? Your efforts could serve to impress some important people right now. Hmm...ya right...
Well, the comments in pink are my thoughts. Guess I better adjust my attitude right now, bright and early, huh???
