Our Big Girl!!!

Chloe started First Grade this year!!!  It is totally hard to believe...seems like she was just born yesterday!  Here is a picture of her first day of school:

Today is my sister, Jolyn's birthday....she was starting school when I was a senior in high school!   I admire her!   She has many attributes that make her a hero to me.   I have posted on her birthdays before: August 30, 2009  and  August 30, 2007, for some...

Weekend Fun

I had a blast this weekend..having Tina home, with Adam, Ruger and Sophie too!   I always love having my kids around.      Sissy was SOOOO excited to see her bestest friend in the world, Sophie.   She loves Ruger too.  Sammy was even happy and friendly.    Saturday, Tina and I enjoyed a girls day...pedicure, garage sales, lunch and shopping.    The guys took a trip to Cabelas!     Saturday night we had a nice dinner, and youngest daughter, Crystal and her fiance also ate with us, as well as a family friend.  We followed up dinner with a fun game of "Mad Gab".  It was fun spending time together and laughing!  

Sissy cried when they loaded up after breakfast today...seriously cried.   :-(    I swallowed the lump in my throat, though. 

Hello World!

My good intentions don't seem to last very long, do they? I love to blog. I love to read the blogs I follow.   I need to learn to take time to do what I enjoy.

Here's some random thoughts...
It has been kinda hot
But it is COLD in my office
My granddaughter got glasses...she looks so grown up!
My daughter is coming for the weekend from Dubois tomorrow...yay!
I am tired
I re-painted my bathroom this week
I am ready for tv shows to start for the new season
I have a lot of great friends
I have a wonderful family....

I have high hopes of getting back into blogging.  I have ideas, stories and pictures....

Multi-Task, Anyone?

I have been having a tough few days.   I am tired.  I am stressed out.  I am overwhelmed and bitchy. 

That being said, I'll move on now.     I usually multi-task well.  However, I have recently found my limits.   I had a meltdown.   I acted foolish...but within the confines of my own office...I hope I can get back into the right frame of mind...hey, that was only a week ago?

Just when you are on top of the world, someone can knock you off, with just one word, one action or one behind the scenes conversation.  Then, it's time to climb back up....

Friday's Flounderings

I have not posted for a few days.  Why?  I love to post.   I'll have to start making notes, because when things happen, I'll think...wow, that's great blogging fodder....ha!  But, then I don't post, and I forget!

Here's some thoughts for the day...

It is always fun to travel and laugh with friends.
I know a lot of great people.
I know a lot of smart, creative people.
I miss my kids...my parents, my siblings, my whole family.
I hope I can live to  be someone like my grandmas...even if just a bit!
I have to believe in myself and trust myself.
I like old movies.
I like chocolate.
I like wine.
I love my job.
I have wonderful parents.
I have too much in my head sometimes.
I have not enough in my head sometimes.
