Sometimes we do a family email "go round" where we all write a special memory or favorite song...favorite memory...favorite food. I think I'll do a regular post (not sure how often) of favorites for us to share.
Today, how about a scent? Is there a special scent that just reminds you of something or someone? Do you sometimes get a whif of perfume, and think..."that reminds me of my aunt"?
Two of my favorite scents:
Mountain air
Safeguard soap (reminds me of Grandma Elsie)
I have a lot of favorite scents, so this may need repeating at a later date!
Tell me your favorite(s)!!

The smell of "cedar" totally reminds me of being at my Grandmother's in Kentucky. She had the most wonderful cedar closet. When she would get us a blanket to use from that closet, you felt so close to her! At a reunion one summer, my cousin had cedar blocks made for each of us to put in our "underwear drawers" to remind us of Grandma. I still have mine.
I have to say the smell of lilacs in the summer take me back to Great Grandma's!!!
Plus coffee brewing-Grandma Hillens and of course fresh tortillas remind me of Grandma Ibarra's house!
I agree with the lilacs Tina. One of my favorite smells is empty shot gun shells. It reminds my of hunting with my dad. The other is campfires because mom and dad loved to camp.
One more I just remembered....the smell of the mountains. My favorite place to be. Wish I could run away to them.
Rain. I love the smell of rain. It takes me back to summer days outside til dark; barefoot and carefree.
