What is your favorite Nursery Rhyme?
Have you noticed that Nursery Rhymes are not being passed down through generations nearly as much these days? It's kinda sad that our wee ones may not learn them, so I do make a point to do nursery rhymes, and songs that we have sung through the generations and share them with my grandkids.
So...tell me ... do you have a favorite nursery rhyme?

Thanks to the Wiggles and a few books my kiddos do know a few nursery rhymes. Some of which I never heard growing up.
"My Son John"
Hey Diddle, Diddle My Son John,
Went to bed with his stockings on,
One shoe off, and one shoe on,
Hey Diddle, Diddle My Son John!
Oh my gosh...don't know that I have a favorite but now have many of the ones mom taught us going trough my head!!! :)
Head and Shoulders,
Knees and Toes.
Is that a nursery rhyme?
Of course everyone in my family knows I love the story of I Know an Old Lady who Swallowed a Fly!!
It is the BEST!
I can't name my favorite, but you sure have me saying some in my head that I learned as a child! I will have to come back to this and answer it later! But thanks for getting us "thinking"......and I agree that these fun rhymes might be lost if we don't continue to "pass them down". That is one good thing that Allyson does with her boys is READ, READ, READ to them before bedtime. I am amazed at how well they listen to her read with expression. That was always one of my favorite parts of teaching 5th grade was the time I spent reading aloud to them after lunch.
