Saturday....

Wow, time flies.   I had intended to get so much done today, but I got tired before I got the list done!   I was kinda tired anyway, after that intense workshop I attended!  It was great, but wow!!   I just hope I can do a bit of what I learned!

I found this quote, and find a lot of truth in it!

"Personally I'm always ready to learn, although I do not always like being taught."
       -- Sir Winston Churchill

Do you agree?   Sometimes it is hard letting others teach us, no matter how badly we want to learn!  But an engaging teacher sure can change that!    My workshop was very engaging!

I did get quite a bit done here today, and grandson #1 (Brooklyn) mowed the lawn for me....I trimmed and cleaned up.   It took a bit longer than usual, but that's OK!   He is eager to help, and I think it is good.

Grandson #2 came by today for a visit too..Mister Elijah is growing leaps and bounds, and is just so precious.

Wish Chloe was closer so she could have "stopped" by too!   Know she is busy and enjoying summer!

Finished the day off with grilling steak and potatoes and mushrooms on the grill, accompanied by fruit and a yogurt salad we all love (it's great for snacks, too and is very low fat/low calorie!!)   I made some brownies (again lowering fat and calories...have you done this...you puree a can of black beans, add to brownie mix and  bake! ... delish, and much better for you!).   So, small reward for the day of hard work was a (small) brownie sundae.  :-)

Now, late and tired...so nighty night!

Really, guys! I wouldn't ruin a brownie!! You can't tell. They are very very moist. Just the beans and brownie mix is all you use. PUREE the beans. I have served these and no one could tell. My grandson said they are delicious, and I didnt share the ingredients with him!! They do end up just a bit thicker, I think. But, very moist. This time I used the Ghiradelli with the chips in the mix. YUM!! Get your fiber in a brownie...haha!
