Why the Food Photos?

As you may have guessed, we went out of town to Wyoming this past weekend, to visit our parents (and any siblings that we could catch). We hadn't been "home" for a long while, so we really surprised them by actually getting there. We had such a nice time. The pictures of the food in the recent post:

reflect some of the good food our moms made for us...we sure did enjoy! (Homemade cherry pie, fried chicken, homemade tortillas, pork chili, and much much more...) We relaxed, visited, and just enjoyed being there. There truly is nothing better then "mom's home cooking"....

Mom and I spent one evening looking through old photo albums, just to see if I could find any kitchen photos for my "project." We had loads of fun reminiscing as we looked through them, laughing and at times feeling sad, enjoying past moments....and then I asked for one of our favorite things to share....popcorn (and not microwaved popcorn.) I sure didn't need any snacks after all that wonderful food. However, sharing popcorn is just something me and my mom, grandmother, and sisters always have liked to do.

Needless to say, I didn't eat any supper when we arrived back at our place Sunday night...

The weather Saturday was absolutely beautiful. That night the wind came up and I thought we were going to blow away. And, Sunday was really windy, with a few snow flurries...stay tuned for more explanations of the photos...
