Today I am thinking of Thanksgivings past. So many memories flood my thoughts!
I remember sharing Thanksgiving at my grandmothers house at least a couple times. (We had quite a drive to visit them.) There was always plenty of food, and I am particularly remembering her little woodpecker toothpick holder. That is a strange memory to have, huh?
I remember having Thanksgiving at my aunt's house too, where there also was so much good food and love. I remember fondly sharing Thanksgiving at my sister's home, my sister-in-law's home and at a friend's.
But mostly, I remember the memories and traditions of growing up with my parents and siblings. We were always blessed with so much! I am so lucky! And, now, I hope to give my children and grandchildren the same feeling of tradition and love that I grew up with! I am so excited to have my children and grandchildren here with me! I will miss my parents, sisters, mother inlaw, all of my extended family. I will miss my grandparents. But, I will have a home full of my family, my memories and lots of love.
